Exposing the individuals and the groups in society who defy convention and shun 'normality', Current TV introduces Rebels, a series of powerful and provocative documentaries produced to entertain, enthrall and ultimately induce thought and debate. Hot on the heels of the controversial and critically engaging Wasted and Bloodshed and Brotherhood seasons, Rebels explores the people that embrace individuality and never follow the crowd. The Rebels season launches on Current TV on Friday 21st November at 10pm.

Rebels take many forms; people who have risen up against the status quo in an attempt to ensure they do not form part of what people consider to be the 'norm'. Rebels are individuals who challenge people’s perceptions or resist the restrictions that are placed upon them due to disability, upbringing, or simply the opinions of others. Current TV takes a look those who have dared to challenge stereotypes and demonstrate why impossible really is a dirty word...

Kicking off with a film exploring the thrill seeking madness of two men who like nothing better than to hurl themselves from tall buildings, 'BASE Jumping Dubai' gets a world first transmission on Current TV. An exhilarating and tense documentary, the pod tells the tale of two daredevils who defy the laws of gravity as well as those of the state..... Taking to the top of the world’s tallest freestanding structure, The Burj in Dubai, what follows is a dramatic free fall that’s not for the faint hearted.

Other films included in the season introduce figures including Kimberley Jaw, an overweight dancer who dispels body fascism to dance for Nike; Dan Edge, the UK’s only disabled wrestler, who not only has to fight his able bodied opponents, but also combat the challenges of living with cerebral palsy, and a techno rebel who decides to experience a technology free existence, abandoning every essence of electronic influence.

Being screened over three nights in one-hour blocks, and showcasing an innovative and exclusive "living Graffiti" filming technique demonstrated only by Current TV, this latest season of gripping and informative documentaries celebrates the adventurous, the alternative and the unorthodox. Airing on Friday 21st November at 10pm, Current TV is about to unveil its rebellious streak...
